THE NCAE CENTER FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) provides a variety of resources for NCAE staff and members.
The CTL has resources covering topics related to the classroom, such as Authentic Assessment, Inclusion, Strategies for Diverse Learners, Reading Across the Curriculum, Block Scheduling, and many others. They provide resources to local associations on issues such as NCLB, state and federal policies impacting educators and their students, pre-service teachers and student members, new and veteran teacher support, instructional tips, closing the achievement gap, administrator support, the School Improvement Team, teacher evaluations, and more.

Additionally, the CTL provides frequent updates on the work of the State Board of Education, which can be found on our website. We assist local associations, LEAs, and individual schools with professional development opportunities in response to their targeted needs. We also assist members with licensure concerns and/or questions.

Additionally, we provide weekly updates on topics to support you in your classroom via our electronic e-mail listserv. To join, contact Cathy.Barnes@ncae.org or Christi.Broadway@ncae.org!
